Ingredients

Here's what I need to put these lovely cupcakes together:

  • 1 and ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Now, let’s get baking with these simple steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line the baking tray with cupcake liners and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, oil, eggs, food coloring, vanilla, and vinegar until smooth.
  • Combine the wet and dry mixtures, mixing until the batter is smooth.
  • Fill each liner approximately 2/3 full with batter.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a cooling rack.

I can't wait to try them! 🎂
