Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Oven mitts
  • Serrated knife
  • I found that these are all you really need. If you're like me, you probably have most of this stuff already in your kitchen.

Ingredients

  • Mini bagels 🥯 whole or sliced
  • Cream cheese
  • Sliced olives black or green
  • Red food coloring
  • Optional: Smoked salmon or ham

These ingredients are all easy to find. Feel free to get creative with your favorite toppings, too!

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut mini bagels in half using a serrated knife.
  • Spread cream cheese generously on each half.
  • Place an olive slice in the center of each.
  • Drip a tiny bit of red food coloring for a "bloodshot" look.
  • Add optional toppings like smoked salmon or ham for extra flavor.
  • Bake for 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove with oven mitts and let cool before serving.

The eyeball look is super cool, and they taste amazing. They're a big hit every time I make them! 🍽️

    Notes

These bites are super versatile. You can try different toppings or switch up the cream cheese flavors.
If you like spicy food, add a little hot sauce or pepper flakes before baking.
Feel free to make them more festive during Halloween by playing around with the decorations. 🎃 Enjoy your creative bites!
