  • 1 can crescent roll dough: For wrapping the mummies.
  • 8 hot dogs: The main ingredient.
  • 2 tablespoons mustard: Spicy or regular your choice!
  • 1 tablespoon honey: Adds sweet contrast to the mustard.
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter: Optional for brushing.

These ingredients are simple but come together to create a tasty and eye-catching treat!

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll crescent dough and slice into thin strips.
  • Wrap strips around each hot dog, leaving space for the eyes.
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. 🕒
  • Meanwhile, mix mustard and honey in a small bowl.
  • Once baked, let the mummies cool slightly.
  • Use a dab of mustard to make eyes on the hot dogs.

Serve them with the mustard dip on the side!

    Notes

For an extra kick, I sometimes add a bit of hot sauce to the mustard dip.
You can switch out honey for maple syrup if you prefer.
To make them cute, try using small candy eyes instead of mustard.
Make sure to let them cool a bit, so the dough stays intact when dipping.
Making Hot Dog Mummies is such a blast! They're sure to be a hit at any gathering.🎉
