Zester: Extract fresh lemon zest.
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter: Cold and cubed.
- 1 tbsp Dried Lavender: Adds a floral touch.
- 1 tbsp Lemon Zest: Fresh is best! 🍋
- 3/4 cup Milk
Preheat the Oven: Heat to 400°F (200°C).
Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
Add Butter: Use a fork or fingers to blend until it's crumbly.
Stir in Lavender and Lemon Zest: Mix well.
Pour in Milk: Stir until just combined.
Roll Out Dough: On a floured surface, roll 1/2-inch thick.
Cut Biscuits: Use the cutter for round shapes.
Bake: Place on baking sheet and bake for 12-15 mins until golden.
These biscuits are incredibly versatile. I prefer using fresh, organic lavender if possible for a stronger flavor. 🌿 If the dough feels too sticky, add a little more flour.
Adjust the Lavender Amount: Depending on your preference. A pinch more or less can change the flavor profile subtly, making it either bold or mild.
