Equipment

  • Baking Sheet 🍽️
  • Parchment paper
  • Knife or pizza cutter
  • Small Bowl for Ketchup
  • Spoon for Serving Ketchup
  • I recommend lining your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • A sharp knife or pizza cutter works best for cutting the dough.

Ingredients

  • 8 Beef Franks 🌭
  • 1 Tube of Crescent Roll Dough 🥐
  • 1/4 Cup Ketchup
  • 1 Teaspoon Food Coloring Red
  • Cooking Spray
  • Mustard or Candy Eyes Optional
  • Crescent roll dough makes the wrapping easy!
  • Adding red food coloring to ketchup gives it that "bloody" look.

Mustard or candy eyes can create a spooky face for your mummy dogs.

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C). 🔥
  • Cut Dough Into Thin Strips using a knife or pizza cutter.
  • Wrap Each Frank with dough strips, leaving a gap at one end for the face.
  • Place Mummy Dogs on Baking Sheet lined with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  • Bake for 12-15 Minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
  • Mix Ketchup and Food Coloring in a small bowl for the "bloody" dip.
  • Once baked, cool them for a minute or two.

Add mustard or candy eyes for fun faces. Serve with the bloody ketchup.

    Notes

Feel free to use different sausages like turkey or veggie franks.
Experiment with the dough by adding cheese or seasoning for extra taste.
Substitute other sauces, too, like BBQ sauce or mustard for dipping.
These mummies are versatile and can be customized to your taste.
Enjoy creating an eerie experience for your guests! 🎃
