Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz mushrooms sliced: Fresh and earthy.
  • 1 onion diced: Adds sweetness.
  • 2 cloves garlic minced: For a kick.
  • 2 tbsp butter: Creamy base.
  • 1 tsp olive oil: Helps with sautéing.
  • 1 cup vegetable broth: For flavor.
  • 1 cup sour cream: Creamy texture.
  • 1 tbsp flour: Thickens the sauce.
  • Salt and pepper to taste: Seasoning.
  • 8 oz pasta of choice: To serve with.

These ingredients come together beautifully to create a rich dish.

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta: Follow package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Sauté mushrooms: Heat butter and oil in a skillet. Add mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Cook until soft.
  • Make the sauce: Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mix. Stir well. Gradually add broth, stirring until thick.
  • Add creaminess: Lower the heat and mix in sour cream. Stir until smooth. Don’t boil.
  • Combine and serve: Add pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat with sauce. Season with salt and pepper.

    Mushroom variety: Cremini mushrooms have great flavor, but you can use any type.
