- 2 cups of macaroni pasta 🍝
- 1 cup of pumpkin puree 🎃
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: breadcrumbs for topping
Cook the Pasta: First, I boil the macaroni until it's al dente.
Drain and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour until smooth.
Gradually add milk, whisking constantly.
Add Pumpkin and Cheese: Stir in the pumpkin puree, then add cheddar cheese.
Mix until melted and combined.
Season: I add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the sauce.
Combine: Mix the cooked pasta and sauce in the baking dish.
Top with extra cheese or breadcrumbs if you like.
Bake: I place it in the oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
