Mixing bowls: I need several sizes to handle different ingredients.
Saucepan: For melting that irresistible fudge mixture.
Baking pan: I prefer an 8x8 inch pan for even layers.
Parchment paper: Helps to keep the fudge from sticking.
Rubber spatula: Great for spreading all that gooey goodness.
- 2 cups sugar 🍬
- 3/4 cup butter 🧈
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk 🥛
- 1 package of chocolate chips 🍫
- 1 jar marshmallow creme
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups pecans chopped
- 1 cup caramel bits 🍬
Line the baking pan with parchment paper. This makes removing the fudge easier.
Combine sugar, butter, and milk in the saucepan. Stir over medium heat until it boils.
Remove from heat; add chocolate chips, marshmallow creme, and vanilla. Stir until everything is smooth.
Pour half the mixture into the lined pan. Sprinkle half of the pecans and all the caramel bits.
Spread the rest of the fudge on top. Add remaining pecans.
Let it cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for about 2 hours.
These treats are best served chilled! 🍫 I can swap pecans for walnuts or almonds, depending on what I like.
To make clean cuts, I’ll use a sharp knife dipped in warm water. If I want extra sweetness, drizzle some melted chocolate on top.
Also, storing them in an airtight container keeps them fresh for several days.
