To make these yummy cookies, I'll need a few basic tools. Having everything ready makes the process smooth and fun!
Mixing bowl: Perfect for combining all the ingredients.
Electric mixer: Speeds up mixing and keeps my arm from getting tired!
Baking sheet: Essential for baking the cookies to perfection.
Parchment Paper: Prevents sticking and makes cleanup a breeze.
Cooling rack: Allows cookies to cool evenly.
Measuring cups and spoons: Keeps measurements accurate.
Cookie scoop: Helps create uniform-sized cookies.
Gathering the right ingredients ensures my cookies taste amazing every time! Here's what I use:
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter softened
- 3/4 cup of creamy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup of packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/3 cup of additional granulated sugar for rolling
- 48 Hershey's Kisses unwrapped
Making these cookies is straightforward. I love how the steps come together so easily for delicious results.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Beat butter, peanut butter, 1/3 cup granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
Add the egg, milk, and vanilla; mix well.
Blend in flour, baking soda, and salt.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls, roll in reserved sugar.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8 minutes.
Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
Cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before moving to a rack.
I like to keep a few tips in mind to make sure each batch is perfect!
Soft Butter: Makes mixing seamless and ensures even texture.
Unwrap the kisses before baking to press them in quickly and avoid melting.
Storage: Store in an airtight container to keep them fresh longer.
